The All Labour in Vain is just outside the parish of Dawley and is in the parish of Little Wenlock.
James Maun, is the first landlord of the "All Labour in Vain" pub that I have found, the “All” was not used in the early days, he was born at Abberbury, Shropshire, but I can’t find his birth and nothing in the 1841 census, he married Mary maiden name Whitehouse.
Mary had been born in Birmingham and previously married to Richard Morris, at some time they had gone to the United States where their son Richard was born, by the 1841 census they were living at Little Wenlock, Mary’s husband Richard Morris deid and was buried on the 23rd November 1842, Mary married James Mann (Maun) at St Alkmund's Shrewsbury on the 8th Dec 1843.
